The AALS 44th Annual Meeting and Educational Conference was held April 27 – 29, 2012, at the Clarion Resort on the Lake in Hot Springs, Arkansas. NEALSP members in attendance were Andrea Hicks, PLS, Mimi Jumper, Charlie Patterson, Belinda Penn, PLS, and Sharon Davis, PLS.
Beginning on Friday, April 27th, New Member Orientation was held from 5:15 – 6:00 p.m. and was open to all new members to give them the opportunity to learn what AALS is all about. Legal education for Friday was in the area of Real Estate, led by Attorney Travis Morrissey, who is the son of AALS member, Sue Morrissey. After the legal ed, a Gala Celebration and 50th Anniversary was held honoring Garland County LSP. Light refreshments were served with entertainment provided by Delta Donnie and East End Eddie. Kim Chrisco’s boss, Brant Perkins, will be speaking to us on Tuesday, September 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the Courthouse Annex 4th Floor Jury Room on Estate Planning & Corporate Entities.
We will be having our regular monthly meeting that day at noon, and legal ed in the evening this month.

The next Legal Ed will be presented by Ron Hunter. Charlie Patterson will host at her home located at 703 James Street in Harrisburg. Click here to see directions from courthouse to Charlie’s house.
A planning meeting for the Anniversary Celebration will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at 5:15pm in the jury room at the courthouse annex. BE THERE if you want to have an input on what activities we will be having at the celebration.
Our next regular business meeting will be August 21, 2007.

Thursday, June 14 is the date of the next legal ed lunch which will be held in the jury room on the 4th floor of the Courthouse Annex. Sharon Davis, PLS, will do a presentation on New Rules & Regulations for Notaries Public. Please contact Joyce Morgan regarding the June Legal Ed Brown Bag Lunch.
Joyce has also created a schedule for the monthly legal ed lunches; please contact her to find out which month is yours to plan this year.
Our next business meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 19.
