MONDAY, OCTOBER 14TH @ 2:00 P.M. – I have asked Mayor Harold Perrin to prepare a Proclamation, and we will be meeting at his office for signing and photo opp. I would like to have as many of our members who are able to be present please. 300 S. Church Street (Former Mercantile Bank Building on the 4th Floor) Please RSVP and let me know if you can attend.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15TH @ 5:15 P.M. – Our next business meeting will take place at the Craighead County Law Library, 321 South Church Street.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 21ST – In further recognition of Court Observance Week (but due to scheduling conflicts the week prior), Brenda Welch, PLS and Belinda Penn, PLS, CCM will be assisting me in conducting a courthouse tour for students from the “new” Jonesboro High School “Health, Human Services and Law Academy!” Judge Cindy Thyer will also be speaking to the students following their opportunity to observe “criminal court.” This falls on a day when the students are not actually in school, but they are still very excited about coming “on their own time and will receive extra bonus points!” (More details to follow.)
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22ND at Noon – Membership Drive/CLE – I have asked Benton Smith, Jonesboro attorney who serves on the Arkansas Committee of Professional Conduct, to speak to us on “Professionalism in the Workplace/Ethics.” This will also be our Membership Drive and will take place in the courthouse annex basement.
